Expertly installed around you

We hold some of our best sellers in-stock, however outside of this selection it typically takes 3-14 days from order to installation of your selected flooring, although it always depends on delivery time confirmed from the supplier and availability of our fitting staff. As soon as your products arrive into our warehouse, you will receive a call to book a suitable fitting date.

We also understand that your flooring may be part of a bigger project, which is why we are able to work with other contractors to install at a time that suits the rest of the project - just let us know if you are planning to install something like an underfloor heating system and this may alter the underlay requirements and make some flooring types unsuitable.

What types of flooring do we supply?

Vinyl Flooring
(£14-£60 per m2)

Over the past half century vinyl has evolved so much not only in the variety of designs available but also in the material that it is made from. Their popularity has surpassed that of traditional wood or tile, due to its durability and reduction in cost.

We supply and fit two different styles of vinyl products: Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and Cushion Vinyl.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)

Often recognised more by its brand names, of which we stock Moduleo, Project Floors and Karndean. LVT is made up of 4 layers; a resilient vinyl backing, a vinyl colour layer, a photographic film layer and then a urethane or aluminium oxide top layer all fused together under heat and pressure. It is often confused with laminate, however it is constructed completely differently. Created originally for the commercial industry, it is extremely durable making it perfect for any room in your house.

Advanced photographic and printing technologies make LVT a great alternative to wood, ceramic and stone with its natural appearance and textured surface. You can enjoy the classic appearance without the maintenance, or stain worries. Additional advantages are that LVT is both water and slip resistant, while also being compatible with underfloor heating for that ultimate luxury feel.

Luxury Vinyl Click

Created using the same manufacturing process as above, however the installation style is different. Where the standard LVT, is kept in place using adhesive making it a fairly permanent fixture. ‘Click’ flooring is slightly more flexible, as it uses tongue and groove technology to hold the planks in place. Meaning that should you have a plumbing issue you can access it easily without having to make flooring repairs!

We are one of Scotland’s top retailers of Moduleo Flooring and have a huge collection of samples in both our Carnoustie & Montrose showrooms.

Cushion Vinyl
Image

Cushion vinyl, sometimes referred to as Lino is a great affordable flooring solution which is water resistant and durable due to its tough protective coating. The cushioned material provides a warm and comfortable feel underfoot, allowing you to enjoy the style of a classic wood or tile design without the chill factor.

Our cushion vinyl comes in a sheet form and is generally loose laid by our fitters onto a smooth surface below. Available in a host of designs, it is moisture resistant and seamless making it ideal for bathrooms, hallways and kitchens.

Real Wood
(£40-£80 per m2)

Real wood flooring is a 100% natural product, and is ideal for adding character to your home. Available in materials such as oak, walnut, maple and bamboo it’s lifespan could live to over 100 years.

Real wood is not recommended for bathrooms and kitchens due to its contracting nature when in contact with moisture. However, it is ideal for heavy traffic areas as any marks can be sanded down, then lacquered or oiled to have your wooden flooring back to looking as good as new!

Discreet nailing is the traditional flooring installation method as it allows for the floors to expand and contract, this prevents them warping over time. Some solid wood floors can be glued down as long as the sub floor is well prepared and moisture is minimised through use of a damp-proof membrane.

Image
Engineered flooring
(£46-£130 per m2)

Engineered wood flooring is made up of layers of ply, bonded together with the top layer being made of solid wood veneer, which gives the appearance of a solid wood floor.

All of our engineered flooring is prefinished so it’s ready to walk on as soon as it has been laid, avoiding any need for waxing or oiling. Engineered flooring is resilient in humid environments so it can be used with underfloor heating, however is less durable in high traffic areas. Maintenance wise, It can be sanded down to remove marks, however as only the top layer is solid wood this can only be done once or twice.

When it comes to installation, engineered wood flooring can be fitted by a click mechanism, glued down or nailed. The method used will depend on the product chosen and the condition & temperature of the room that it is being installed in.

Image
Laminate
(£17-£30 per m2)

Laminate flooring is made from a multi-layer synthetic product fused together during the lamination process. It is fitted using a tongue & groove mechanism, with an acoustic rubber underlay placed below it to protect the material from moisture, retain heat and most importantly reduce noise.

Laminate is extremely easy to clean and is impressively scratch resistant, ideal if you have pets. When compared to real or engineered wood it comes in less expensive, and there are certain collections that are treated so as to make them water resistant.

Customer Story

"

I would not change my flooring one bit, I absolutely love it and know I made the right choice with it. It was something I really wanted and saved up for. The investment was truly worth it.
