Overview
Located in the quaint and charming village of Barry, on the outskirts of Carnoustie, sits the historic Panmure Golf Club. Established in 1901, the club recently worked with Millers Interiors to install a new carpet in their clubhouse.
Why Millers Interiors?
Panmure Golf Club chose to partner with Millers Interiors for several reasons, but their strong local reputation stood out the most.
As a local business themselves, supporting other businesses in the community was a priority. General Manager, David researched local businesses and it was evident that Millers Interiors’ reputation for quality and reliability made them the obvious choice.
As part of their procurement process, the club obtained multiple quotes. Millers Interiors not only offered the best price, but also provided options that perfectly matched the club’s vision and requirements.

Carpet Specifications
The project began with a discussion about the clubhouse’s unique character. The original red carpet was integral to the clubhouse’s charm and it was important to preserve this in the lounge area.
After the initial discussion, Millers Interiors provided a few samples which were in keeping and a nearly identical sample to the previous carpet. David was impressed by the attention to detail throughout stating: “They didn’t just sell us a carpet, they helped us choose something that would truly enhance the space and stand the test of time.”
Installation Process
With one of the busiest times of the season for Panmure Golf Club, the installation posed a bit of a challenge. The Millers Interiors team were adaptable and flexible and began work in the evening to avoid disruption of the day-to-day activities of the club.
They worked diligently, first removing the old carpet before swiftly completing the installation in two days, which included the addition of brass edging between the bar and lounge areas to enhance the overall finish.
Regular updates kept everyone informed and Managing Director Gary, made several site visits to ensure everything was progressing smoothly and within the timeframe.
“Their flexibility and professionalism was outstanding. They understood how important it was to keep things running smoothly for our members.” David recalled.
Outcome
The results speak for themselves. The new carpet has transformed the clubhouse, blending its traditional features with a fresh and inviting feel.
Club members have been quick to share their appreciation, with many commenting on how well the new carpet enhances the overall atmosphere in the lounge area.
